Join us for a jam-packed day

Our Yorkshire Christmas Fair will once again return to York Racecourse in 2021, over the 11th-14th November 2021.

Visitor numbers have grown over the years at our Christmas Fair in Yorkshire and we expect around 5,500 and 6,500 per day at each event, totalling over 25,000 shoppers over the critical period before Christmas. Crowds will be carefully managed inline with Covid best practise and current goverment advice. Our visitor profile is 80% female, over 35 ABC1, targeted through the prestigious lifestyle publication Living North magazine, regional press, inserts and listings in national titles and on websites.

As publishers of regional magazines of the finest quality, wherever possible we feature our exhibitors within the pages of the magazines as additional marketing support. In order to ensure you obtain a favoured position you are advised to contact us and book early.

Tickets available on the door.

Tickets will be available on the door subject to availability priced at £9 per ticket and £6 per ticket for Concessions*.

Under 12s and Carers go FREE.

*Over 60s, NHS staff and members of the Armed Forces. Proof of identity will be required on entry.

Living North: Covid-19

In 2020 when we were planning our Christmas events we put in significant measures to create more space and wider aisles. While those events did not go ahead, we decided earlier this year to stick with this plan for 2021, despite the significant improvements allowed due to the UK’s successful vaccination programme.

Reluctantly, but sensibly, we are also limiting the numbers of tickets for each day. We have also asked each customer to select the day they are planning to attend so we can carefully measure attendance. It is likely there will be some tickets on sale each day at the event, but if at all possible please book in advance.

Both Newcastle Racecourse and York Racecourse have hosted large crowds in recent times, and we are confident in the measures they have introduced too. In the event that Government advice changes we will update this information accordingly. We are sure our visitors will be sensible and responsible, wear face coverings if they wish and obviously stay at home if they are feeling unwell.

We are greatly looking forward to welcoming you all to our 2021 Christmas Fairs in Newcastle and York.

Christmas Fair FAQs

Tickets are available to buy online here.

If you are unable to buy online, please phone 0191 261 8944. If you have any questions regarding your tickets please call or email us at fair@livingnorth.com.

If you have purchased tickets online your digital ticket will be emailed to you directly.

If you have purchased by phone you will receive your tickets in the post and the latest you should expect them to arrive is 48 hours before the event. For any queries regarding your tickets, please call 0191 261 8944 or email us at fair@livingnorth.com.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Re-admittance is not permitted with your ticket – there is so much going on at our fair you won't want to leave!

There is free parking available on-site.

Of course they can, and under 12s go free! However, we must remind you that children remain the responsibility of their parents and guardians, and there are no specifically-curated children’s areas.

If you are over the age of 60, then yes!

Sadly not with the exception of Assistance Dogs

The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users and there is a useful site map available in reception for guidance. Male and female wheelchair accessible toilets are provided throughout the venue. Please ask a member of staff if you are unable to locate these.

We strongly advise against bringing prams wherever possible. We have widened our aisles to make the event safer for shoppers and to improve the shopping experience but we would ask you to leave your pram at home. Prams can be left in reception for collection once you have finished your visit.

With lots of exciting treats to buy we recommend you bring some cash along with you, however there are cash points on-site, and the majority of our exhibitors do accept card payment.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants for when you are feeling a little peckish.

We will continue to review the current Government guidelines to ensure our event has the best Covid safety practices. The safety of our visitors, staff and exhibitors remains our key priority. Please keep an eye on our website for updates.
