York Maze
York Maze is being given a terrifying makeover this half term with not one, not two, but five different haunted houses. Watch out for clowns and villains who will jump out when you least expect it. The hardcore will want to start the screams early on the dedicated Zombie Night Bus from York.

Brodsworth Hall is throwing open its grounds to thrillseekers during October half term, plotting out a terrifying trail where you don’t know what lies around the corner. There’ll also be games and entertainment to keep the kids happy – and spooked.

Bolton Abbey, Skipton
Pumpkins and witches have taken over Bolton Abbey’s famous Strid Wood. Follow their track through the undergrowth and you’ll find mystery doors amongst the foliage – crucial to crack the witch’s magic spell.
