On 2 July, art-lovers across the North East are invited to enjoy an evening of culture in aid of a good cause. The Lord Crewe Arms, Blanchland is to play host to Alexander Millar, Patron of Lifespan Complementary – a charity that aims to support those with life-limiting illnesses in the North East. If you love top-notch art, good food and fine dining, this event will be right up your street.
Alexander will open the evening by welcoming guests and inviting you to enjoy an exclusive viewing of his work. This will be followed by a two-course meal with wine accompaniment, to be enjoyed while watching Alexander creating a piece of art using charcoal. Later on, you’’ll get the opportunity to bid for the pieces created on the night, while a range of Alexander’s other work will be available to purchase throughout the evening.
Hailing from the small mining community of Springside, near Kilmarnock in Scotland, Alexander has matured into one of the most well-respected contemporary artists in the country, and indeed the world, today – his works hang in both public and private collections across the globe. Don’t miss this opportunity to see him work in a really intimate setting, and get the chance to purchase some of his work for yourself.
