Washington Old Hall

from
Washington Old Hall

The grounds of Washington Old Hall are divided into several smaller gardens that have been individually styled. The parterre is inspired by 17th century design, featuring fruit trees and an array of herbs, and the apple orchard further down the garden is still in its infancy. The symmetrical topiary design of the knot garden is especially eye-catching.

Must see: Discover the unusual nuttery; a wildflower nut orchard set in an acre of land that is home to hundreds of species of birds, insects, mammals and pond life.
