The grounds of Chillingham Castle were designed by Capability Brown, one of England’s greatest gardeners. The gardens boast the longest herbaceous border in northern England featuring a range of flowers including rhododendrons, and a topiary garden with intricately clipped hedges that are a work of art itself. The grounds are also home to woodland and lakes where red squirrels, badgers and deer wander. Take in the spectacular views of the local countryside, including the impressive Cheviot hills in the distance.
