Living North Christmas Fair Crowd

Thank you to all who came to Living North's Christmas Fair in 2018! Our Christmas Fair offered something for everyone, with everything you needed under one roof. Here are some of the highlights...

All your Christmas shopping under one roof

Whether you were looking for the best fresh produce for your Christmas lunch, or the ideal present from handpicked independent retailers to give a loved one on Christmas morning, visitors could find it all conveniently under one roof.

We have a new home!
Our biggest venue to date, Kingston Park Stadium, not only provided all the space you need for your big Christmas shop, it also packed in over 250 exhibitors and offered ample parking and nearby transport links.

Warm up with mulled wine
Visitors were able to warm up with a mug of spiced mulled wine whilst catching up with friends and taking stock of a great day out.

Live chef demonstrations from the region’s best chefs
Where else than our dedicated Chef Demonstration Kitchen could visitors see some of the region's best chefs talk through how they prep for Christmas Day? Answer: No where. With live chef demonstrations running throughout the weekend, this was the best place to learn how to cook – and fuel the rest of your shopping trip with their samples.

Gifts that aren’t on the high street
You can't find the products our exhibitors were selling on the high street, as ours is a one-of-a-kind event, meaning visitors will be gifting truly unique gifts to friends and family this Christmas.

Guilt free shopping - visitors supported this years chosen charity, My Name’5 Doddie
This year our Christmas fair supported My Name’5 Doddie. Visitors were able to drop off their bags, buggies and umbrellas and make the most of their day unencumbered, while also making a difference to this worthwhile cause.

Glass of fizz in The Lodge Bar
Every hour is fizz o'clock at the Living North Christmas Fair thanks to this year’s chic, alpine bar  – The Lodge Bar. Here visitors could pull up a seat, set down their shopping and relax with a glass of the finest fizz, pimped with your choice of flavours, before their next round of shopping.

Take a break and enjoy afternoon tea
This year you were able to take a break from shopping and enjoy a delightful afternoon tea from the comfort of one of Kingston Park Stadium’s many private boxes. What better way to fuel a day’s shopping than with cream covered scones, cake and finger sandwiches?

Stock up your Christmas pantry
With over 100 foodie exhibitors, this year visitors were able to stock up on everything from pies, and cheese, to gin and cakes, meaning they will be sure to impress your guests this festive season.

Treat yourself to a manicure
Thinking about heading to a salon for a manicure before party season kicks off? Think again. City Retreat were on hand to pamper, for just a small donation to charity – at a fraction of the price of your local salon.

Music from The Rock Choir

North East Rock Choir entertained our shoppers over the weekend with their festive melodies.

Grab a bite to eat at either The Forest Cafe or Merry Berry Bistro

After working up an appetite after all that shopping, visitors were able to drop by The Forest Cafe or Merry Berry Bistro for a bite to eat, offering delicious fresh seafood, local stotties and even vegan options.
