MOZART REQUIEM AND SOLEMN VESPERS

Durham Choral Society, its orchestra and selected soloists will perform some of Mozart’s best-known works at this evening performance. The Requiem Mass in D Minor is among the finest of his work, while the sacred vespers also impress.

The well-known band have extended their 30th anniversary celebration tour into 2017 and will be performing their third album, The Seer, in its entirety, alongside some of the more popular singles they’re best-known for.

The world-famous band make their way back to the North East, playing their greatest hits on tour over the summer. All the classics – from Zombie to Linger – will be played, while there’ll be a string quartet accompanying the band.

Born in Lanzhou, China in 1997, Bocheng Wang is a prodigy on the piano who has risen fast through the classical music world. Since 2012 he’s studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and will be playing works by Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt.
