BASTILLE - Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre
We’ll be there for you this weekend, with a trip to the set of hit 90s show Friends, music from Bastille and a fabulous family day out

FRIDAY NIGHT
Once you’ve experienced this musical epic live you’ll never let go of it. The Alhambra Theatre in Bradford will tell the tragic truth of the Titanic, based on the lives of real people aboard the most infamous ship in the world. Titanic The Musical is a stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams and ill-fated aspirations of her passengers.

SATURDAY
The award-winning Comedy Central UK's Friendsfest has returned this summer for a 12-week tour, and it’s stopping off at Castle Farm Fields in Heaton. You and your friends can experience the iconic moments, re-enact the titles, hang out in the corridor and even grab a coffee in Central Perk.

SATURDAY NIGHT
Chart-topping British band Bastille are heading to Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre, where they’ll be performing their best-selling singles including the much-loved Pompeii, and tracks from their NME Album of the Year – Wild World. What better way to enjoy live music than outside on a warm summer’s evening?

SUNDAY
Always a soaring success, Sunderland Airshow is set to reach even greater heights when it celebrates its 30th anniversary this weekend. Go down to one of the largest seafront airshows in the UK – and the only major airshow in the North East – this plane-filled party has plenty of high-flying attractions: with truly dazzling displays of aerial feats from the Red Arrows (amongst others) acrobatics, vintage aircraft exhibitions and (back on firm ground) plenty of family entertainment. What promises to make this year even more unforgettable will be the Airshow’s special tribute to the Royal Air Force, who are celebrating their centenary this year.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Believe it or not, there’s a beach party going on down at the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield this weekend, and you’re all invited. They have a giant sandpit complete with deckchairs for you to lounge on and a DJ on the decks playing tunes for all the family, as the little ones build their sandcastles around you.
