What are your full names?

Emma Melville (née Dover) and Craig Melville.

How did you meet?

We met at Nestlé, where we both work.

How did he propose?

He makes me an advent calendar every year and picks lots of little gifts for me to open. On the 5th December we were going away for the night and he said I had to wait to open my advent gift. Later that evening at dinner he pulled the gift out of this pocket and told me I could open it. I opened it to find a beautiful ring and he asked me, 'Will you marry me?'. I cried a lot and said yes!

Where was your service and reception?

Everything was held at Hornington Manor in Bolton Percy, York. We spent the whole weekend there. We stayed in the manor house, hosted highland games on the lawn after the ceremony and later held a ceilidh in the evening in the barn.

Where was the wedding gown from? And the bridesmaids’ dresses?

I bought my wedding dress from Confetti and Lace in Leeds – a Pronovias dress that I added sleeves to. The bridesmaids’ dresses were bought two days before the wedding from Monsoon after a problem with the original dresses.

Where were the suits from?

The suits came from York Hire Wear.

Where did you source the flowers and cake from?

The flowers were from the York Flower Company and cake was from Zoe's Fancy Cakes – she is incredible!

What did you eat?

We had four street food vans offering guests Mexican, pizza, pie & gelato.

Who did the photography?

Tux & Tales Photography who are based in Selby.
