There’s plenty to see and do across the region this week

5 SEPTEMBER
SUSAN CALMAN
Harrogate Theatre
01423 502116
www.harrogatetheatre.co.uk
A decade in comedy is a long time, but Susan Calman shows no sign of slowing down. The Scottish comedian’s a regular on comedy panel shows, but there’s nothing quite like seeing her in person performing standup.

7 SEPTEMBER
MARK RADCLIFFE
Pocklington Arts Centre
01759 301547
www.pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
Radio and television presenter Mark Radcliffe is known for his love of music – and cheese. This one-man show will see Mark talk about some of his strange encounters with music’s most famous names – including who he has on speed dial.

8–9 SEPTEMBER ORGAN FEST 2017
Hull City Hall
This two-day extravaganza celebrates the organ at Hull City Hall, home to a magnificent specimen, built by Hull’s own Forster and Andrews in 1911. There’ll be performances and recitals, talks and an appearance by TV’s own Huw Edwards (a dab hand with the stops himself).

UNTIL 17 SEPTEMBER
BLEACHED
The Deep, Hull
This exhibition by Tania Kovats shows her response to the beauty and fragility of the world’s coral reefs – particularly after a mass bleaching took place, the result of rising sea temperatures that cause coral to expel the algae that gives it its colour.
