RHS Harlow Carr’s well-known for its glorious gardens and stunning surroundings, but it has also scooped an award for its customer service.
The garden is one of just two visitor attractions in Yorkshire – alongside Doncaster’s Yorkshire Wildlife Park – to win a prestigious Gold accolade by VisitEngland as part of its Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme.
The scheme uses a mystery shopper-style assessment to consider a visitor’s experience at attractions, from information available on its website to the knowledge of staff on the day at the site.
The Gold award is the highest possible that can be awarded under the scheme, and means that Harlow Carr scored more than 87 percent overall in the assessment.
Liz Thwaite, Head of Site for RHS Harlow Carr, said: ‘We’re thrilled to be awarded a Gold, particularly as it looks at how well we’re doing through the eyes of a customer.
‘We work hard to constantly improve visitors’ experience and encourage feedback from customers – both good and bad – so we can constantly improve and develop the garden. The accolade is testament to the hard work of everyone involved in making Harlow Carr such a well-loved attraction.’
