Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the theatre, celebrate Emily Brontë’s 200th birthday on the Moors or parade down the streets of Ripon for Yorkshire Day – it’s a jam-packed week

MAKE MY WEEK...

MONDAY
Celebrate what would have been Emily Brontë’s 200th birthday today with a walk across the Haworth Moors she loved so dearly. This informative 14-mile trek will be led by Michael Stewart covering the stunning sites of Oxenhope, Nab Hill, Top Withins, Alcomden Stones and Ponden Clough. Snuggle up on the sofa afterwards with a cup of tea and a copy of Wuthering Heights.

TUESDAY
In the heart of Sunderland you’ll find the vibrant and quirky bar P’s & Q’s, serving cocktails that cater to every taste. Jazz up your Tuesday with options including a sour Cherry Drop or a super-sweet Strawberries & Cream Daiquiri, as well as treats like the Chocolate Cookie Martini and the Burlesque – pairing strawberries, vanilla vodka, Licor 43 and prosecco, once you start, you won’t want to stop.

WEDNESDAY
Head to Ripon to celebrate Yorkshire Day in style. Watch the parade as it heads to Ripon Cathedral, before taking to the Market Square to find trade stalls, children’s rides and live entertainment. In the evening, the square will come alive with live music, while a party will be held in the Cathedral grounds.
