A Valentine's Day You'll Never Forget

Heart Valentine's
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and you may find yourself racking your brain for something out of the ordinary to do. We’ve put together some different date nights that your loved one won’t forget

A Night At The Fair
The Valentine’s Funfair is an annual event in Team Valley, from 8–18 February. Take on your significant other on the Dodgems, or brave the Ghost Train together. Treat your partner to a bag of candy floss and spend your evening admiring the views from the top of the big wheel. Entry is only £1 and most rides are the same, so it’s the perfect night out for any couples looking for an affordable alternative.

Reach For The Stars
If you want to make it a Valentine’s Day to remember, head down to Jump360 in Durham. A 2-4-1 bounce offer is available all day, so you and your partner can make use of the entire trampoline park.

Hexes on Exes
Valentine’s Day isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, especially if you’re not loved up. Spend the evening in The Alchemist at the ultimate cocktail masterclass, conjuring up delicious potions. You’ll learn how to make three of The Alchemist’s famous creations while you’re treated to one of their delicious sharing platters. A unique date night, or a great way to forget Valentine’s Day and do something fun with friends.

Couple’s Paradise
Retreat to this lakeside spa for a day of romantic relaxation; you’ll be treated to a sharing platter as you enjoy use of the spa facilities for two hours. Head into the Rasul Mud Chamber, cover yourselves in mud and unwind in the heated room to improve your complexion and remove toxins. Finish the day with a glass of prosecco and chocolate-dipped strawberries before you head home together feeling fully relaxed.

Cupid’s Castle
This year, Newcastle Castle is hosting a special Valentine’s event. An exclusive screening of Shakespeare in Love will be followed by a delicious buffet and glass of prosecco. Finish the evening with a romantic candlelit tour of the castle, ending on the roof for a spectacular view over the city.

A Four Course Dinner With A Twist
Greggs has announced that five of its UK stores will hold a special, candlelit Valentine’s dinner, and Newcastle’s Grainger Street store is one of the chosen venues. A four-course meal at Greggs is certainly an unusual choice for Valentine’s Day, but your pastries will be served on plates rather than in the traditional paper bags and accompanied by a glass of prosecco — it will certainly leave your partner speechless.
