Real Weddings: Tori & Neil

Bride, groom and bridesmaids with bouquets
As part of our series of real weddings we spoke to Tori Boycott who tied the knot at Escrick Park Estate

What are your full names?

Tori Boycott (née Elcock) and Neil Boycott

How did you meet?

We met on a night out in Leeds. We went on a couple of dates, lost touch for a year and then – through a moment of fate – ended up back in touch and the rest is history.

How did he propose?

Neil booked a surprise trip to Paris and got down on one knee to ask me to marry him at midnight in front of the Eiffel Tower. We then went a little bistro and celebrated with a bottle of champagne.

Where was your service and reception?

The ceremony was held at Escrick Church and the reception at Skipwith Hall, which is part of the Escrick Park Estate.

Where was the wedding gown from? And the bridesmaids’ dresses?

The wedding dress was by David Tutera and the bridesmaid dresses were by Dessy. I fell in love with the blue-grey colour we chose for them and fortunately found a stunning dress that suited both bridesmaids.

Where were the suits from?

The suits were from Reiss and the shoes were by Loake – they were the perfect shade of blue to go with the blue-grey of the bridesmaid dresses.

Where did you source the flowers from?

We chose to go with Wild Floral Couture in Towton for the flowers. Allie was fantastic at bringing our vision to life and the bridal bouquets were stunning.

What did you eat?

We chose Friends For Dinner in Tadcaster to cater for us. They served canapés on arrival and then for the wedding breakfast we had a selection of dips, olives & artisan breads, charred fillet steak of Yorkshire beef with twice cooked chips for main and a trio of desserts. In the evening we booked the Artisan Pizza Company to bring their van and serve pizza to all the guests.

Did you use a wedding planner?

Yes, Ellen Davies from LND Events. She gave us options for all of our suppliers based on our tastes and style and then we narrowed them down.

Who did the photography?

Chris Seddon, Derbyshire Wedding Photographer.
