The Ultimate Wedding Checklist
After the initial ‘hey, we’re engaged!’ period comes the realisation that now you actually have to plan that wedding. Apparently, your fairy godmother isn’t going to swoop in and plan it all for you: also, it turns out that arranging a big event, on top of everything else you normally do, isn’t quite as easy as you thought. But, there’s no need to panic – we’re here to help with a foolproof, step-by-step wedding planning checklist, and a guide to keeping cool as you make your way through it. So grab a glass of vino, sit back and get ready to check things off – calm and collected. Calm. And. Collected.
How to keep your cool
1. Make a ‘Wedding Countdown’ playlist to keep you energised and positive.
Basically it’s impossible to be in a bad mood while lip syncing to Pharrell’s ‘Happy’, and if all else fails, break out the classics – ABBA and old-school Britney Spears. You’ll be back in good spirits in no time.
2. Set aside some ‘you’ time.
Whether it’s hitting a spin class, finding your inner zen at yoga or going for a long walk – you need some time to blow off steam. Find an activity that clears your mind and make some room for it in your week.
3. Wine down with your BFFs.
Hit the local bottle shop and stock up, then unwind and enjoy with your friends. Suggestions: Majestic Love Sauvignon, L’Extra Rosé, or Angels’ Share Shiraz (or The Chocolate Block Syrah, if times are really hard).
