FAMILY FUN DAY
14 April

Middleton Lodge, Richmond
You’re invited to celebrate Easter at this luxury hotel. Events will include a Punch and Judy Show, a petting zoo and an arts and crafts room. There’ll also be food stalls set up so you don’t need to worry about packing a lunch.

YORK CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL
14–17 April

Parliament Street, York
There’s a long distinguished, delicious tradition of confectionery-making in York – back in 1781 there were eight confectioners in a city with only 17,000 people in it. This free festival celebrates the sweetest thing in life – no, not love, chocolate – with demos, masterclasses, live music and more.

YORK EASTER FAMILY FESTIVAL
14–17 April

Venues across York
The York Easter Family Festival returns for its second year, taking over the historic city, including the Little Vikings Easter Activity Tent pitched up in Parliament Street. There’ll also be a children’s petting zoo and pedal-powered Scalextric. What more could you want?

PLAY EXPO
16 April

Elland Road, Leeds
A massive celebration of video gaming arrives in Leeds. There’ll be classic arcade machines for the parents, and Minecraft for the kids – alongside live LAN gaming opportunities for those troublesome teenagers who can’t get into the Easter spirit.

PETER RABBIT MINI EGG HUNT
16–17 April

The World of Beatrix Potter
Take a trip over to Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District and let the kids explore the Peter Rabbit garden at this wonderful attraction. Don’t miss the treasure hunt – there’s a chocolate egg and a sticker up for grabs for each child.

RUM TASTING
17 April

The Prosecco Bar, Horbury
Rum’s the new gin, don’t you know. Get your mouth around five unique examples here, plus antipasti platters to help take the edge off things.

EASTER TRAIL
Until 15 April

Sage Gateshead
The mischievous Easter Bunny has been laying clues all over the place at Sage Gateshead and those who make it to the end of the trail will be in for a sweet surprise.

LINDT BUNNY TRAIL
Until 23 April

RHS Harlow Carr
The kids can make their way through the expansive gardens of RHS Harlow Carr on the trail of the Lindt Gold Bunny, who keeps leaving clues in and around the greenery. Answering them correctly will lead to a delicious treat, we’re told...
