Relive the wizarding world of Harry Potter at Alnwick Castle this week with resident broomstick professors and master the art of flying!

Learn to control a broomstick on the very spot our favourite wizards had their first ever flying lessons in the film production of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Perfect for all the family, this popular event helps you learn the techniques of Quidditch to amaze your friends and you may even bump into one of the students from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during your visit.

Sessions take place daily outside (permitting it doesn’t rain!) and last around 20 minutes. Be quick! The sessions are very popular so make sure you collect your free tickets from the magical professors in the Outer Bailey on your entry to Alnwick Castle.

That’s not all, after your broomstick training visit the castle artisans for a visit to 1389. Budding knights and princesses of all ages can dress up for a day of costume, crafts and sword-fighting. Learn how to make a manuscript, magic wand, tiles or soap as you play games to test your knightly skills!

Broomstick training and medieval crafts take place from 26th July until 1st November and are free with admission to Alnwick Castle. For more information on events and ticket prices, visit www.alnwickcastle.com/whats-on.
