Returning to the picturesque setting of Tynedale, the Corbridge Festival is back for a fourth year. The usual mix of local acts and national treasures will be performing including Scottish rock band Big Country, dance sensation Rozalla, champion beat-boxer Ball-Zee and former Seahorses front man Chris Helme. Steffen Peddie, better know as Big Keith from sitcom Hebburn, will once again compere the main stage throughout the day
There is camping available on Friday and Saturday nights, with exclusive Friday evening entertainment planned. The event still maintains its family-friendly feel with workshops in African drumming, kids' yoga, circus skills, body zorbing (rolling around in a huge inflatable ball), paint-balling, jewellery making, DJ training and more. There will be go-carts, a fairground, story tellers and face painting too.
We haven't even mentioned food and drink yet. Bars have been extended for 2014 offering a larger choice of real ale, cider and soft drinks. There will be a cocktail bar and the return of the always popular champagne and Pimms bar. Watch out for the strange and flamboyant theatrical characters that mingle amongst the crowds reminding everyone that the Corbridge Festival is so much more than a music festival – it's an open air party for the whole family.
We've teamed up with the organisers to offer one reader the chance to win four tickets.
