Local author Vicky Arthurs’ first poetry collection, Limehaven, explores the themes of love, war, nature and innocence – but also is a personal remembrance of her life with her grandparents. The poetry is powerful, emotive and personal, and the book is named after her grandparents’ bungalow near the Thames.
The collection of poetry is just one of many works to come out of the North East’s vibrant poetry scene, and has been hotly anticipated by those in the know.
You can read more about Vicky in our interview with her here, and can enjoy her work by entering our competition.
