Alnwick Garden (The)
Visit this award-winning garden all year round to see it evolve with the seasons. The Cherry Orchard is spectacular when its confetti-like blossom is in flower, whilst the Poison Garden is a fascinating insight into some of the world’s most dangerous plants. If you’re planning to take a trip to the gardens this May, you’ll be able to see some of Alnwick’s shrubs, trees and flowers at their best – the crab-apple trees will be blossoming, the Camellia Water Lily will be showing off its bright fragrant flowers, and the Magnolia Kobus will be putting on a full floral display. Attracting visitors from far and wide, Alnwick’s Rose Garden is full of fascinating varieties, whilst the walled Ornamental Garden is a formal gardener’s paradise.
Tip for your trip: The Alnwick Garden offers so much more beyond its stunning planting. Dine under the canopy of the popular Treehouse restaurant, or have a go at getting around the Forgotten Garden mini-golf course. With a full calendar of regular events, no two visits here are ever the same.
