Aydon Castle

This is a real hidden gem: a completely unaltered 13th century manor house in secluded woodland in the Tyne Valley which still has its walls and some buildings intact, plus grassy areas outside which are perfect for young generals to take on the role of the Scots who pillaged the castle in 1351.
