The Lakes Vodka has won ‘The World’s Best Vodka 2019’ award in a global competition which selects the very best of internationally recognised styles of vodka from across the world. After being awarded first prize in the Pure Neutral Vodka category, Lakes Vodka was then up against stiff competition, going head to head with all the other Best in Category winners. Despite the high standard of vodkas on offer, the Lakes Vodka came out victorious and is now internationally recognised as being the best of the best.
Established in 2011, the Lakes Distillery nestles on the shore of Lake Bassenthwaite, near Keswick. Using the majestic surroundings for inspiration, the distillery produces a tantalising range of fine whiskies, gins and the world’s best Lakes Vodka.
The Lakes Vodka was described by the World Best Vodka Awards as ‘Very clean, natural on the nose. Palate has a little sweetness from the alcohol and a white peppery kick of heat on the side of the tongue. Nicely Done’. Nicely done indeed – I think a Lakes Vodka martini might be on the cards to celebrate this evening.
