Baristocracy is a family-run business bringing Australian speciality coffee expertise to the heart of the North East. Their high quality coffee is grown by fairly-paid farmers, sourced from all over the world and expertly roasted in North Shields. Pop down to the roastery itself to try some of their many flavours.
Wooler-based Doddington are the doyens of dairy in these parts. Their ice cream is made with simple ingredients including full cream milk, egg yolks and natural flavours, their yoghurt is made with fresh Doddington milk and British fruit, and their award-winning artisan cheese is, well, simply outstanding.
The Lindisfarne oyster beds were originally established by the monks in the priory here way back in the 14th century. Oysters are available for sale all year round – eat them in the half-shell or cook them up. Either way, you’re unlikely to find anything fresher.

Inspired by traditional cheesemaking methods, their ‘cheases’ are cultured and aged, creating a unique range of products that hold their own on any cheeseboard.
