Think hearty soups and flavour-packed curries – we’re getting ready for autumn indulgence

If you like: Cute Coffeshops
Then try: YO Bakehouse, Malton
Well known for being the foodie capital of Yorkshire, Malton boasts some of the most unique food and drink producers in the area. YO offers a relaxing experience filled with fabulous cakes and brownies. Cosy up with a warm brew of their chosen coffee (Malton’s very own 'Roost’) or a delicious loose tea from Newcastle’s 'Easy Teasy’. If you’re after something more substantial then get stuck into their range of light lunches including soup, sandwiches and quiche, alongside the ever-changing bakery selection.

If you like: Burgers and Brews
Then try: Arch 2, Ouseburn
Run by a father and son team, expect a wide range of flavourful beers including Blondes, Pale Ales, IPAs, Brown Ales, Saisons and Porters as well as some unique and innovative additions on the premises. You’ll always find 10 taps of fresh beers, lagers and ciders, and if you’re feeling peckish, why not fill up on burgers while you’re there too? Their burger and beer deal can get you a 100 percent Aberdeen Angus beef burger and craft beer for just £8.50, and we’ll be loading ours up with their huge range of toppings too.

If you like: Strong Indian flavours
Then try: Papadom, Sunderland
Papadom brings the colourful, vibrant and utterly delicious food of the bustling bazaars of Punjab to your doorstep. Taste the strong street food flavours with your own pick ’n’ mix pakoras, curries, sabji, samosas and much more to create a real Indian feast fest. Not forgetting their creative cocktails inspired by classic Indian beverages: experience serious tropical flavours (like the Phagwara fizz, with flavours of coconut and pineapple, topped with Prosecco) that really pack-a-punch, along with their own brew – their hoppy IPA beer perfectly complements their delicate curries.
