Guests attending The Greatest Show on The Tyne at Tyne Theatre and Opera House, hosted by Geordie magician and escapologist Chris Cross, enjoyed an eccentric variety showcase of magic, live music, stand-up comedy, stunts and cabaret. The line-up featured 97-year- old Mark Raffles – the oldest working magician in the world – as well as popular entertainers including Alfie Joey, Bobby Pattinson, Chris Beattie and Sue Sweeney, plus multi-award winning troupe Acropolis Acrobats.
