A DAY IN THE LIFE | Living North

Tyne Bridge
Following its success in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, and Liverpool, social experiment A Day In The Life is coming to Newcastle on the 23rd March, capturing the lives and times of the city in exactly 24 hours

Calling all smartphone snappers and amateur photographers! This Saturday, join multi-award winning photographer Mark Waugh as you spend the day snapping the city as part of a unique social experiment.

A Day In The Life will collate thousands of images of the people and landmarks that make Newcastle so unique – from the passionate football fans and students, to the Tyne Bridge.

The day will begin with a free photography workshop, hosted by Mark at the Copthorne Hotel at 9am before heading out to capture the sights of Newcastle around the clock for 24 hours, building a visual library of what the city looks like in 2019.

The images will then be printed out and transformed into a piece of art by a UK artist, which will represent a famous Newcastle icon that will be displayed in the city, creating a permanent testimony of this day in history.
