NE Youth, a local charity, are throwing their third International Women’s Day party to celebrate the inspirational women in our region, held at WonderBar on Sunday 8th March.
The event will also mark the charity’s 85th anniversary – celebrating eight-and-a-half decades of supporting over one million young people across the North East.
Throughout the afternoon at WonderBar in The Gate, Newcastle, there will be live music, games and a Bierkeller Bingo Show from The Amazing Bavarian Stompers – certain to bring some oomph to proceedings. Tickets are only £20 and include a glass of fizz, canapés and a full afternoon of fabulous, female-dominated entertainment.
Last year some of the money raised from their annual event was used for a self confidence workshop at Newcastle College, tailored to a group of young girls and women the charity supports. This year they plan to do the same, and have a greater goal of raising £85,000 throughout 2020 to support all aspects of the charity.
‘As a firm, we are delighted to be continuing our support of NE Youth with their annual International Woman’s Day event,’ says Lucy Mead, Head of Family Law at David Gray Solicitors, the main sponsor of the event. We are passionate about helping young people in our region fulfil their potential. We hope to see you there for a fun afternoon of fizz, nibbles, music and bingo!’
NE Youth’s International Women’s Day event will take place on 8th March between 2.30pm–7.30pm. To book tickets, visit www.neyouth.org.uk/product/iwd2020/
