The former village pub now serves up enticing dishes – like potted duck, The Beehive burger with Jamón Ibérico, and to finish, a classic crème brûlée – with Healy at its helm. It’s safe to say we’re pretty buzzing to try it.
Now in its 67th year, the Hexham Abbey Festival of Music and Arts has a tried and tested recipe for success. As well as a strong emphasis on choral music, represented by their Candlelight Concert and Festival Chorus, they are also presenting a programme that includes jazz, world and folk music (as well as a ballet film classic) all weekend, starting this Thursday.
