From tomorrow, the skies above Sunderland will be filled with some of the world’s most famous aircraft – it’s Sunderland International Airshow weekend

Can you hear the buzz? It’s that time again – some of the world’s most amazing planes will be flying over the North East as part of the Sunderland International Airshow.

It’s a regional institution, and one that draws thousands to Roker and Seaburn to watch the displays in the skies above. The aircraft flying overhead will include the RAF Typhoon Display Team from 29(R) Squadron, the Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, all of which will swoop low over the shoreline so attendees can get the best possible view.

But that’s not all: there’s a full range of activities both in the air and on the ground to keep everyone entertained. Make sure you don’t miss out as the free show soars this weekend, 21–23 July.
