Six Days of Style returns to York next month. Between 4–9 April there’ll be events popping up in shops and venues across the city, including Browns, Fenwick, Bettys and The Grand, with big boutiques mixing with fresh fashion talent to create a unique line up.
Fashion City York has been running the event since 2011 but thanks to a £15,000 funding boost from York BID – the business-led initiative to improve the city centre – this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever before.
Don’t miss the stylish marquee that’s home to the Fashion Village, organised by LND Events, where you’ll find a whole host of smaller designer makers and retailers in York’s prestigious Parliament Street. If vintage is your style, head down on the Sunday when British Does Vintage will take over the Fashion Village to bring the best retro pieces to the city for you to snap up pieces you won’t find anywhere else.
Fenwick and Bettys are teaming up to offer a fashion afternoon tea on 4 April. Relax in Bettys’ Belmont Room over tea and scones while soaking up a fabulous fashion show. Tickets £20.
If beauty’s more your thing, join the team from Space NK at Bettys on 5 April for an evening of the latest make up tips, trends and products over prosecco and cake. Tickets £12.95.
Well-renowned designer Paul Costelloe is coming to Browns for a meet and greet on 7 April, where you’ll be able to have all your questions answered. We caught up with the globetrotter ahead of his arrival, which you can read more about here
Head to The Principal Hotel on the same day to watch a glamorous catwalk by city lifestyle club She Loves York, complete with canapés and fizz. Tickets £19.
On 8 April, frugal fashionistas will get the chance to meet popular blogger, Caroline Jones, the woman behind Knickers Model’s Own, over lunch in the five-star hotel The Grand. She’ll tell the inspirational story behind her blog and introduce her new book. There’ll also be a mini fashion show of fantastic finds from charity shops. Tickets £20.
