New Zealand Gourmet Pie Company (North East LIVE Fair)
Based in the North East, this company is the UK’s only producer of New Zealand pies, so you’re in for a truly unique treat. On their return from a trip to the other side of the world, Mike and his Kiwi son-in-law Jonny began craving the hot, savoury boost of a New Zealand pie but they couldn’t find these perfect pockets of pastry anywhere – and so the idea was born. Now the New Zealand Gourmet Pie Company brings you a delicious range of pies, filled to the brim with the finest ingredients. Enjoy the moorish minted lamb pie, indulge in the rich steak & stilton pie, or try the spinach & goat’s cheese pie for a delicious vegetarian alternative.

Nova Scotia (North East LIVE Fair)
This award-winning producer of speciality steak and pork pies is true to its Yorkshire roots. Brought to you by Mark and Sally Darley of Nova Scotia Farm, to the north east of Leeds, these delicious pies use the farm’s own beef to provide you with the highest quality succulent steak pies possible. With thin, buttery pastry and a rich gravy with a peppery kick, these pocket-sized beauties are comfort-food at its best. But Nova Scotia is also famed for its fantastic range of pork pies – choose a jelly-less classic, full of beautifully prepared fresh British shoulder and belly pork, or try a gourmet pork and chorizo masterpiece for a real taste sensation.

Pastree (Both North East and Yorkshire LIVE Fairs)
These handmade pastry delights are the result of generations of experience, all starting with a herd of Highland cattle in a family-run farm in the Forest of Bowland. To this day, heritage is extremely important to Pastree’s mother and daughter team; Jacqui and Jasmine – their delicious short-crust pastry comes directly from Great Grandma’s recipe book. Pastree create classics including a delicious rare breed pork pie, alongside indulgent twists on this staple, such as the tasty red onion marmalade and Lancashire cheese-topped treat. If you’re looking for something a bit different, try Pastree’s popular scotch egg – the fresh yolk is encased in deliciously seasoned sausage meat and a crisp golden Japanese-style breadcrumb.

Bloom Bakers (Yorkshire LIVE Fair)
If you’re more of a sweet tooth than savoury lover, Bloom Bakers is the perfect pie producer for you. Based in north Leeds, the baker’s Dutch and German heritage brings something a little different to our favourite British classics. Artisan treats include Bloom’s delicious selection of fruit pies which are given a little sprinkle of extra cinnamon, nuts, vanilla sugar or red currents for a tasty North European twist. Some of our favourites include the mouth-watering cherry pie, sprinkled with pearl sugar just before going in the oven, and the unusual apple and beetroot crumble pie, which is the bakers’ brand new take on red velvet flavours.
