Here's how to get 49 days of holiday this year with just 21 days of annual leave

Getting the most out of your holiday days is always important, but this year, you can turn your 21 days of annual leave into a whopping 49 with a little careful pre-planning.

Easter

25th–28th March & 2nd–5th April
This year Good Friday lands on 29th March, and Easter Monday on 1st April, so if you opt to take 25th to 28th March or 2nd to 5th April you can actually get a whole 10-day break using just four days of your annual leave. Take both and you could be enjoying a fabulous 16-day adventure.

May Bank Holidays

7th–10th May & 28th–-31st May
With our two bank holidays in May you’ve got twice as much chance of a great break, and by booking four days off after the bank holidays on 6th or 27th May you can enjoy a full nine days of holiday at one of the best times of the year to go away.

August Bank Holiday

27th–30th August
Another bank holiday means another opportunity for a nine-day break using just four days of your annual leave by booking time off after Bank Holiday Monday.

Christmas & New Year

23rd, 24th, 27th & 31st December
For anyone who wants to escape during the Christmas period, by booking just five days off you can escape for a full 12 days. Christmas falls midweek in 2024 (Christmas Day is a Wednesday thanks to 2024 being a Leap Year) so if you take from 23rd to 31st December, taking in the public holidays you can fit in a whopping 12 days away.
