Calling all foodies, here are our top picks coming up this year
Whitby Fish & Ships Festival
Whitby Marina, 17th–18th May
An annual event celebrating Whitby’s rich fishing heritage, visitors can expect top tips from local chefs, live music from local bands and cooking demonstrations. In the fish craft marquee, you’ll find local fishermen demonstrating the traditional art of net-mending, as well as showing their skills with a blade on a range of fresh local fish. There’s also a range of local producers to browse.
Malton Food Lovers Festival
Malton, 24th–26th May
Yorkshire’s most hotly anticipated food event of the year, there’s a reason that Malton is known as the food capital of the North. Set across Malton’s picturesque streets, this festival brings together a fabulous array of live chef demos, local producers, street food stalls and family entertainment. Alongside this, visitors can expect live music, author interviews and book signings from their favourite foodie writers, and plenty of drink to wash everything down. Best of all? Ilkley Food & Drink Festival
Ilkley Riverside, 14th–15th June
A family-friendly celebration of local and international food and drink, here visitors can tuck into delicious street food alongside a range of drinks (cocktails, ales and more). Besides food offerings, there’s a charming array of artisan makers for a spot of shopping. Tickets are available online.
Harrogate Food & Drink Festival
The Stray, 28th–29th June
Ripley Castle, 23rd–25th August
Returning in June (and again at Ripley Castle in August), Harrogate Food & Drink Festival 2025 will have the biggest line up of food exhibitors to date. Alongside food, visitors can enjoy live music from great local bands, live chef demonstrations, a comedy night and plenty of fun for all the family.



Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival
Near Skipton, 18th–20th July
Returning to North Yorkshire bigger and better, this year visitors can expect more than 250 traders from across the UK as well as live music, a fun fair and cookery school. There is space for on-site camping and tickets can be bought online.
The Graves Park Food & Drink Festival
Sheffield, 30th–31st August
In collaboration with Sheffield Mind, this festival promises to be a fun-filled event for the whole family. Expect international street food and drink throughout the lush green field of Graves Park, a live cookery theatre with demonstrations from some of your favourite chefs, and a dedicated wellbeing area for yoga and healthy living talks.
