The festive season begins with the Wynyard Hall Christmas Fayre, taking place from 20th–22nnd November. Set within the beautiful surroundings of the estate, it’s an opportunity to get ahead with Christmas shopping while enjoying a festive day out with family and friends. With plenty to discover and that unmistakable feeling that Christmas is just around the corner, it’s a date for the diary for anyone who loves getting into the festive spirit early.
As December arrives, the pace becomes a little slower. Carols in the Chapel, taking place on selected dates throughout the month, brings together the beauty of Wynyard Hall’s historic chapel with some of the most-loved sounds of Christmas. There’s something particularly atmospheric about gathering together for traditional carols in such an intimate and historic setting, making it a memorable addition to the festive calendar.
For those who prefer their Christmas celebrations with a little indulgence, Festive Afternoon Tea is available on selected dates throughout December. Settle in for a leisurely afternoon of seasonal treats and good company, whether it’s a pre-Christmas catch-up with friends, a special occasion or simply an excuse to take some time out from the December rush.
And then, as the final hours of the year approach, Wynyard Hall turns its attention to one last celebration.
On Thursday 31st December, the New Year’s Eve Diamond Ball promises an evening of black-tie glamour with a Gatsby and Bond-inspired feel. Guests can expect fizz on arrival, canapés, a three-course dinner, live entertainment, a DJ, casino and blackjack, with the evening culminating in a midnight countdown and spectacular fireworks.
There’s an added touch of sparkle too, with every ticket holder entered into a £3,000 diamond raffle, drawn on the night.
Whether your ideal Christmas begins with a festive wander around the Fayre, includes carols in a historic chapel or a long afternoon over tea, or ends with Champagne and fireworks as the clock strikes midnight, Wynyard Hall offers plenty of reasons to make the estate part of your festive season.
