From all of your old favourites to some new faces, here are some of the best foodies headed to Living North LIVE at York Racecourse from 22nd-24th March 2024.
The Biskery

The Biskery

This Leeds-based bakery specialises in personalised biscuits, with classic recipes taken from northern Europe. Every order is freshly baked and decorated in house, and the team are passionate about creating the perfect bespoke biscuit for whatever event you have planned. Whether you prefer a delicious fondant biscuit or a sweet jam biscuit for dunking in your tea, make sure you stop by to say hello. 

Fudge Town

Fudge Town offer delicious fudge in a variety of innovative flavours including Battenberg, cherry bakewell and Turkish delight. They also offer great dairy-free options including chocolate and salted caramel. Now that’s something to sink your teeth into!

The Italian Wine Shop

The brain-child of British-Italian entrepreneur Angelica Sykes who was raised in Yorkshire, this business brings diverse, small-batch production Italian wines to the UK. The Italian Wine Shop was inspired by Angelica’s strong emotional connection to certain wines, and the memories they brought back for her. She wanted to share this experience with customers for a shopping experience that is informed by knowledgeable expertise and a warm, personal touch.

Jinger Drinks

The perfect drink to help you on your health journey. Made to combat the symptoms of chronic arthritis, the brand has now expanded to include a variety of delicious blends including mint and ginger, turmeric and ginger, and pineapple and ginger – aimed at helping with everything from skin clarity and digestion to giving you a much-needed energy boost in the morning. 

Punjaban

Want to spice up your cooking? Punjaban make the finest, 100 percent natural Indian sauces, perfect for making authentic and delicious Punjabi cuisine. Whether you play it safe with their butter chicken sauce, or you’re all about the heat and want to try the jalfrezi, you can be sure that your curry nights will never be the same. Run by Charanjit Sapal and her two children, the business started after the homemade curry sauces she sent her son at university became a sensation across the campus. Now going strong for more than 10 years, we can’t wait to welcome them back. 

Devil’s Bridge Rum

Devil’s Bridge Rum

Inspired by the Welsh legend of a woman who outwitted the devil, this rum is matured in ex-bourbon barrels in the Caribbean and is then steeped in an array of botanicals and spices in Wales. Infused with Bara Brith (a traditional Welsh bread) for a hint of sweetness, the rum also contains delicious notes of ginger, vanilla and cardamom. This is their first time at Living North LIVE so be sure to stop by for a cheeky tipple.

Love Cheesecakes

Using only the finest gourmet ingredients, this company is dedicated to making the most incredible cheesecakes in a wide range of flavours. Whether you love the freshness of lemon and lime, want to indulge with milk chocolate or you’re crazy about caramel, the cheesecakes are freshly made every time, ideal for serving to friends and family on special occasions – or better yet to keep to yourself for a quiet moment with a sweet treat.

SA Sauces

Cooking delicious meals at home has never been easier with SA Sauces concentrates. Add to double cream or crème fraîche for a wonderfully thick sauce, or use it to elevate your next stir-fry. Hosting a dinner? Use the concentrate as a marinade or rub, ideal for prepping food ahead of time. There are sweet options too, including a chocolate and orange liqueur concentrate which pairs brilliantly with ice cream for an indulgent sweet treat. 

Dragon Slayer Distillery

This family-run business aim to keep the dragon-slaying heritage of the North alive with their gin inspired by the folklore of the area. The distillery is only three miles from the home of Sir John Conyers, who, legend has it, slew the Sockburn Worm in 1063 AD and buried its body near the ruins of Sockburn Hall. The team carefully select botanicals from around the world as well as locally-sourced ingredients like lavender to make the highest quality gin possible and have won awards including Best Flavoured Gin at The Gin Awards 2023 for their Sir John Lambton Strawberry and Mint Gin. 

The Yorkshire Kitchen

Inspired by a love of indulging in brandy butter at Christmas, this business makes delicious dessert butters, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to enjoy. Made with the highest quality Yorkshire butter and with a variety of infusions including whisky, orange, coffee, salted caramel and vanilla, they pair perfectly with any dessert.

The Yummy Yank

The Yummy Yank

A fabulous baking business which brings authentic American treats to the UK. Prepare for rich, American-style brownies, indulgent traybakes in more than 20 varieties and classic layer cakes and cheesecakes. The business is run by Lisa Gair, an American who has lived in England for more than 20 years. Lisa takes inspiration from her family for recipes like Aunt Etta’s Vodka and Amaretto Cake, a bundt cake first made by Lisa’s favourite aunt which is a delicious combination of dried cranberries, pistachios, an Amaretto glaze and vodka to keep the cake moist.

Rose Cottage Pantry

This family business is based in the heart of the East Yorkshire countryside. All their products are made using traditional recipes and techniques handed down through the generations, and the meat in their pies is sourced from their own pedigree herd of Welsh pigs and Beef Shorthorn cattle, and the ingredients for their jams and chutneys are also sourced locally.

The North Bar Roasting Company

Enjoy freshly brewed coffee made from premium green coffee beans roasted to perfection. Based in Beverley, The North Bar Roasting Company are serious about giving you the best cup of coffee possible and all of their beans are roasted by hand in small batches. Their signature house blend is particularly good – offering a smooth finish with notes of chocolate and vanilla.

Sizzler’s Prime Meats

Sizzler’s Prime Meats have built a reputation for high quality meat and outstanding customer service, with products suited for any need whether you’re a budding BBQ enthusiast or love to host dinner for your friends. Stop by their stall to explore their excellent range including premium sausages, burgers, bacon and exotic meats like zebra and buffalo.
