Award-winning Quayside restaurant, Dobson & Parnell are known for serving boundary-pushing British and European cuisine in their charming restaurant which honours Newcastle’s Victorian architecture stalwarts, John Dobson and William Parnell. Expect chalk stream trout, smoked duck ham or fresh ricotta with grilled courgettes to start, followed by North Sea fishcake, roast chicken or barbecue venison sausage cassoulet. They also have a classic burger and kale and pesto gnocchi on the menu. Desserts include affogao, dulce flan or chocolate volcano with pistachio ice cream.

Serving their signature Himalayan salt dry-aged rump with a side of fries, diners can indulge over three courses for £20.
