Living North have teamed up with The Principal York to offer one lucky reader the chance to win Champagne afternoon tea for two.
York was once known as ‘the chocolate city’ and at its peak more than 14,000 people were employed in the city’s famous chocolate factories. In celebration of this, executive chef Aaron Craig has created and developed mouth-watering flavours using some well-known classic inspiration of the nation’s favourite chocolates.
Guests will indulge treats such as The Orange (a chocolate orange delice, chocolate mousse, chocolate sponge, orange-flavoured gel, freeze-dried orange pieces and blackberry), The Mint (a dark chocolate brownie and mint-infused mousse, topped with a fresh raspberry and mint petit four), The Creamy (caramelised white chocolate cream choux covered in white chocolate), The Nutty (a classic macaroon filled with nutty flavoured chocolate, sprinkled with walnuts), and The Big One (a purple brioche crumb choux bun, filled with hazelnut and caramel, made for sharing). The afternoon tea also includes classic cut finger sandwiches and savoury scones and tartlets.
