Louise Ross, aka international bestselling author LJ Ross, has made a killing from her crime fiction books based in the North East, and we’re giving one lucky winner a full set of her books
Born in Northumberland, Louise Ross studied at Law at King’s College, University of London and she spent much of her working life in London, where she was a lawyer until taking the decision to change career and then pursue her dream to write. Now, she writes full time and lives with her husband and son in Northumberland and Edinburgh.
Over the past nine years Louise has written 26 books (all of which have been number one bestsellers), sold more than eight million copies worldwide and started her own publishing company, Dark Skies Publishing. Louise has three different series, The DCI Ryan Mysteries, The Dr Gregory Thrillers and Summer Suspense and we’re delighted to be giving away a full set of Louise’s bestselling books.
Her main series of novels centres around DCI Ryan cracking cases across the North East, with each book set at a different landmark across the region. She decide to write her debut, Holy Island, on a train from Newcastle to Edinburgh and it was released in 2015 becoming an instant, international bestseller.
The Dr Alexander Gregory series is more of the psychological thriller end of the spectrum and the lead character, whilst also being male, is very different to Ryan. A forensic psychologist he has a reputation for being able to step inside the darkest minds to uncover whatever secrets lie hidden there.
Finally, the Summer Suspense series which is based in Cornwall is peppered with romance and humour, making them lighter than the other books. Based in a different area that Louise loves, this has different characters again with female lead roles in both.
