When winter settles over the Lakes, Gilpin is a welcoming retreat offering a peaceful stay with endless luxuries. It’s home to two hotels, on two separate estates just over a mile apart. Gilpin Hotel boasts two restaurants and adorable resident llamas and alpacas, whilst country-house-style retreat, Gilpin Lake House, has a stunning private lake and peaceful trails to explore from the doorstep.
Our lucky winner will enjoy a luxurious stay (as well as dinner and breakfast) in a spa suite with so many ways in which to relax. Sink into your own private hot tub, make the most of the relaxation area and private garden with views over the moors, warm up in the indoor sauna and steam room, and let your worries fade away in the massage chair, infrared red light therapy massage bed and Japanese-style bath. Plus, our lucky winner will also be treated to a personalised aromatherapy hamper.
Dining at Gilpin celebrates the very best of Lake District produce. SOURCE boasts Michelin-starred excellence and an appreciation for British ingredients, where expert sommeliers can be relied on and beautiful surroundings are promised. The seasonal menus are created by Head Chef Kevin Scanlan and our lucky winner will enjoy dishes from the Origin menu, an introduction to SOURCE’s creativity and techniques over a selection of carefully-curated courses.
This special prize includes a stay at the Lake House in a sumptuous spa suite, with private in-room spa experiences, a personalised aromatherapy hamper, dinner at SOURCE and breakfast the following morning.
