We could all do with something to look forward to right now after a month of lockdown, so we’ve teamed up with one of York’s best hotels to give one lucky winner just that.
Located in the Micklegate Ward overlooking the racecourse, this boutique hotel is part of The Cairn Collection, and promises a relaxing stay. Each room has its own unique design, but all come with seriously comfy beds, cosy interiors, modern furnishings and homely touches.
The winner and guest of their choice will also be treated to a three-course dinner in the hotel’s restaurant Leetham’s. Its popular menu is all about hearty cooking and giving guests a true taste of Yorkshire. Dishes are made using only the best seasonal ingredients with as much as possible coming from the local area. Breakfast the following morning is also included in the prize.
When hotel guests aren’t relaxing in their room or dining in the restaurant, they can take a seat in the Peacock Bar for a tiple or two – they are on holiday after all! The bar’s décor is a nod to the peacocks which used to roam freely around York many years ago, and is best known for its locally-inspired cocktail menu. Favourites like the Cosmopolitan and Aperol Spritz are available too, as well as an impressive wine list.

A dinner reservation must be pre-booked in advance of the stay, and some dishes may come with a small supplement charge.
Prize cannot be transferred and cannot be exchanged for monetary equivalent.
The Cairn Collection reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond their control make it necessary to do so.
