New to the North East fine-dining scene for 2024, Sonnet is already gaining a reputation for exceptional food and outstanding service.
The focus here is on simple, local ingredients (including trout, lamb and scallops) cooked to the highest possible standard. Opened in early 2024 by Gary McDermott and Claudia Mazareanu, the menu here is seasonal, with plenty of big flavours and a carefully-curated wine list to accompany it. The pair take pride in only serving food that they love to eat themselves, so you know you’re in good hands.
