Take a look at these fashionable fits

Making the most of the summer heat really starts with appropriate clothing. Especially after the recent heatwave, you’ll all know the pain of being caught in the sun with thick jeans on. From airy beach tops to an eco-friendly water bottle, we’ve covered some great items that all support local Yorkshire businesses – that’s guilt-free summer loving if I’ve ever seen it.

The Water Shoes

These water shoes add optimal grip for all your water sport needs – or if you just fancy a swim in more treacherous waters.
Mountain Warehouse, Scarborough

The Watch

At the beach you’re after something light, durable, and splash proof – this Tissot watch has you covered for all three.

The Bucket Hat

A trip to the beach without a bucket hat is considered a crime in some places, so why not rock this cord number while you’re catching some rays?

The Changing Robe

A fan of water sports? This Northcore changing robe is ideal after going for a long swim or whipping off a wet suit. It’s perfect for drying off thanks to thermal insulation and shower/wind resistance.

The Beach Top

This sandy coloured T-shirt from Sheffield’s The Level Collective sports a dolphin’s fin.

The Bottle

Keep drinking water – especially in the sun. Stay hydrated with this reusable stainless steel water bottle – for each one sold, £3 is donated to ocean clean-up charities.
Bird’s Yard, Sheffield

The Pendant

Why not take the coast with you? This sky blue silver pendant is embellished with seaglass found on the Yorkshire coast.

The Boardshorts

Channel your inner surfer with these premium boardshorts, perfect for ripping waves or lounging on a beach chair.

The Sunnies

Why not give this new Yorkshire-based sunglasses company a go? Not only are their frames affordable, they’re also made entirely from recycled materials.

The Socks

If you are going for trainers rather than sandals, make sure you get some comfy trainer socks to go with them. Regular socks in your beach-side shorts can sometimes look a bit odd to say the least.

The Towel

These towels pack down to miniature size – perfect for travelling abroad. Quick drying, they’re made in Yorkshire from 100 percent Turkish cotton.

The Open Shirt

If you want a double layered look whilst remaining cool – an open shirt with a plain white tee underneath is your go-to. We like this light, bright shirt with summery pink accents.

The Trainers

Not a sandal kinda guy? These trainers are ultra-premium, cut from fine Italian leather, and made to order in Sheffield. What’s not to love?

The Fleece

We all know how temperamental the British weather can be, and summer’s no different. Keep chills at bay with this cosy zipped fleece, made in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Sandals

These Birkenstock sandals are a simple and stylish cross between your traditional buckled sandal and a slider.
