DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS
St George’s Hall, Bradford
Buttershaw St Paul’s Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, one of West Yorkshire’s leading theatre groups, are returning to the stage with their latest musical comedy production, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It’s based on the film of the same name featuring Steve Martin and Michael Caine – two con men try to settle their rivalry by betting on who can swindle a young American heiress out of $50,000 first.
Originally premiering at the Edinburgh Festival in 1977, Bouncers is still one of the most performed plays in the UK today. It’s a classic comedy and a Northern favourite. Les, Ralph, Judd and Lucky Eric will relive a night in a Yorkshire disco in the 80s. Described as ‘a hideously funny Saturday Night Fever,’ everyone will be there: the DJ, the girls, boys and the fish and chip van.
