Christmas starts here!

It's never too early to get into the festive spirit, and our 2023 Christmas Fairs in Newcastle and York are your one-stop-shop for all things Christmassy.

Living North’s much-loved Christmas Fairs are back and better than ever, and we’ll be bringing a whole heap of festive joy to Newcastle Racecourse from 26th–29th October and York Racecourse from 9th–12th November. Here’s why you won’t want to miss out.

1. All Your Christmas Shopping Under One Roof
With more than 250 carefully-selected stands, from artisan designer-makers, local food producers and fashion retailers to homewares, gifts and accessories, and of course special Christmas decorations, Living North’s Christmas Fairs are the biggest and best seasonal shopping events in the North. With a host of unique stands selling products you simply can’t find on the high street, our exhibitors have been working hard to craft even more amazing gifts and treats this year. It’s a great opportunity to support local and British brands, and you’ll be able to find special and unique gifts for the fussiest of friends and family.

2. Food, Seriously Glorious, Food
Our Food Halls are packed with delicious produce so you can discover those festive treats and tipples which will help to make this Christmas an extra special one. After all, the best way to anyone's heart is through their stomach. Plus, our hugely popular Chef’s Demo Kitchen is back in action this year and we’re looking forward to welcoming our long-time favourites alongside some outstanding talent from the North’s newest, must-visit restaurants too – think Bewicks Kitchen & Coffee House’s Kevin Mulraney, Callum Leslie from The Black Swan at Oldstead and firm favourite Stephanie Moon. You can sample their food and take away some top tips to help you shine in your own kitchen this Christmas.

3. Live Music
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! Live performances from local choirs and musicians will be the soundtrack to your shopping experience at Living North’s Christmas Fairs, so gather all your friends and family and soak up the festive atmosphere.

4. Supporting Good Causes
Our chosen charities for this year’s Christmas Fairs are Tynedale Hospice at Home in the North East, and Yorkshire Air Ambulance in Yorkshire. Tynedale Hospice at Home provides end-of-life care and support to patients in their own homes, and hospital transport and bereavement support to help you through tough times. Yorkshire Air Ambulance provides a life-saving rapid response emergency service to five million people across Yorkshire. By being at our Fairs, you can meet the charities, and help support them and their vital work too.

5. It’s so easy to book!
Early bird discounted tickets for both events are on sale now – don’t miss out. Simply select which event and day you’d like to attend here, and start creating your shopping list.
