The Devonshire Fell in Burnsall is celebrating a landmark birthday this summer and they'd like to invite you to come along to their garden party on Saturday 29th June to join in the celebrations

It promises to be a fun-filled (and hopefully sun-filled) afternoon with entertainment in the form of lawn games, live music and more!

So why not come along, grab something to eat from the barbecue and enjoy a refreshing drink from the bar whilst soaking in the spectacular views of the river from the garden. Everyone’s welcome… including little feet and muddy paws!
Purchased from its previous Swiss owners at the turn of the last century, the Duchess of Devonshire designed it herself. Since then, The Fell has been a popular bolthole for stylish visitors and brides, who have delighted in its picturesque location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, which is akin to the backdrop of a Brontë novel. It was this same awe-inspiring location that led to Burnsall being featured as central to the original Calendar Girls movie in 2003. The Fell previously hosted elite businessmen as the Edwardian villa was home to a Gentleman’s Club, who were also drawn to the magnificent scenery no doubt.

On 29th June (12pm–5pm with free entry) the silver anniversary celebrations of the hotel’s most recent chapter will be in full swing. Party-goers will include residents along with neighbours, friends and loyal regular guests of The Fell.

Another great reason to visit this summer is to sample the hotel’s new ‘all day dining’ bistro, where you can enjoy a selection of tasty seasonal dishes, including locally-sourced grills and fresh fish from the Yorkshire coastline. The bistro’s open aspect and picture windows invite visitors to enjoy panoramic views over the River Wharfe.

The cosy bar enjoys a welcoming atmosphere at any time of day and another new offering this season is the opportunity to pop in for coffees, teas and cakes during the afternoon.

With so many invitations The Fell hopes to welcome more guests this summer, including new ones, to help them celebrate this special landmark year.
