Don't miss your chance to be part of Park Hill's story, with prices from just £187,500
Standing prominently on the top of a hill overlooking Sheffield city centre, Park Hill is a Brutalist concrete icon and the largest Grade II-listed building in Europe. More than six decades after it first opened its doors, a new Limited Edition collection of homes has now been released here, offering all types buyers a penultimate chance to become part of the building's story.
Homes range from one- to four-bedrooms – each with raw, exposed concrete, great design features, dual aspect views, and a private balcony, finished with coloured balcony cheeks. With prices from just £187,500, it's little wonder buyers queued through the night when the collection launched this month.

A bold, optimistic vision
Completed in 1961, Park Hill was conceived as a bold, optimistic vision for modern urban living. Its most famous feature, the distinctive ‘streets in the sky’, saw wide walkways run outside each home, designed to be big enough for a milk float to pass. They quickly became vibrant social spaces where neighbours became friends and community life flourished.
That spirit of community is something joint venture partners Urban Splash and Places for People have worked hard to restore. In the years since they began breathing new life into the building, the partners have created green and community spaces, 455 homes, all of which are occupied, and accommodation for 356 students. Alongside them sit the amenities that turn a building into a neighbourhood – the Pearl at Park Hill Bar, the South Street Kitchen café, the Nest home interiors store, the Grace Owen Nursery and a convenience store.
Award-winning architecture
Park Hill's transformation has been recognised at the top tier of British architecture. The first phase, designed by Studio Egret West and Hawkins\Brown, was nominated for the Stirling Prize in 2013. The second phase, by long-term Park Hill architects Mikhail Riches, earned a nomination for the same prize in 2024.
And now, Mikhail Riches have designed this newest collection of 125 new homes.
The design approach celebrates rather than disguises the building’s heritage and all apartments feature unique, raw, exposed concrete, plus a balcony and coloured balcony cheeks, helping customers identify their home on the Park Hill’s ‘grid’ facade.
Inside, the homes are designed for modern life, with dual aspect views, duplex living, and private balconies. There’s also access to the building's communal gardens, plenty of green space and the newly installed ‘On the Edge' garden – winner at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show – that’s now a permanent fixture for Park Hill residents and the local community. Its focal point is a stunning wooden sculpture of the Greek Earth goddess Gaia.
Secure your home in an architectural icon
The result is a rare combination of contemporary, light-filled living, all within an award-winning architectural icon.
Demand has been strong. At a launch this month, customers queued through the night for their chance to reserve a home, the first of them arriving at the building at 11.30pm the evening before. Among the homes reserved on the day was a four-bedroom apartment, the only four-bedroom property ever to be created at Park Hill.
The fourth phase is under construction now, with homes ready to move into from 2027. Alongside the new homes, it will bring new green spaces, EV charging and bike storage to the community, adding to everything that already makes Park Hill such a distinctive place to live.
For buyers across Yorkshire and the North East, it's an opportunity to own a piece of architectural history. Park Hill has played a huge part in Sheffield's story for more than six decades and it has always been at its best when it's full of life.
