Celebrating fabulous local produce, talented chefs and the best of the British summertime, here are Yorkshire's best food and drink festivals you'll want to visit this summer

From international street food to local artisan makers, live cooking demonstrations and lots of live entertainment, these are the events to go to.
Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival

Scarborough’s annual maritime celebration weekend is taking place on the West Pier of Scarborough’s South Bay this July. With plenty of food and drink to whet your appetite, live cooking demonstrations from local chefs, as well as fair rides, children’s activities and a musical programme, there’s plenty to explore.

Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival

Tickets are still on sale for the UK’s biggest food and drink festival taking place this summer. Join celebrity chefs including Gino D’Acampo, The Hairy Bikers and Yorkshire’s James Martin who will be cooking live and there will be plenty of foodie workshops and masterclasses, live performances, festival fun and lots of food and drink stands to browse too.

Foodies will not want to miss this year’s festival held at Greened Park in August. The three-day foodie event brings together local traders and community groups to enjoy delicious food and drink across the weekend.

Soak up the buzzing atmosphere at Riverside Food Festival and celebrate all things food, drink and entertainment. With a whole host of street foodies, alongside free chef demonstrations by Leeds Cookery School, plenty of local artisan makers and bakers, plus comedy and art performances, there’s plenty to see and explore here.

Returning to Yorkshire for the second year, The GB Food Festival has a jam-packed line up. Enjoy everything from kids’ cookery workshops to crafts, artisan markets and street food stalls, and there’s a fab chef demo line up. There will also be the famous GBFF cake off and man vs food challenges for those who want to take part.

Harrogate Food and Drink Festival

The Live Cookery Theatre will be fired up once more to welcome some of Yorkshire’s favourite chefs, and international street foodies and independent drink merchants will be setting up shop for the Harrogate Food and Drink Festival. As well as food stalls and live entertainment, there will wellbeing activities to get involved in.

More than 75 stall holders will be ready to welcome you to Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival in September. Showcasing the very best of local and regional producers, you’ll be able to browse the stands before listening to live music, the kids can get their faces painted and there are lots of prizes to be won – it’s the perfect family day out.

York Food and Drink Festival

Back by popular demand, York Food and Drink Festival will be setting up along Parliament Street showcasing delicious food and drink. Chefs will be demonstrating their skills and there will be free cookery workshops to try.
