These lockdowns have had us streaming like we’ve never streamed before

So while you may have binge-watched plenty over the past year, why not rewatch some of your favourite series?

The Queen’s Gambit
Netflix
Proving popular right now, this miniseries set during the Cold War era follows orphaned chess prodigy Beth Harmon as she struggles with addiction and a quest to become the greatest chess player in the world. If you’re rewatching, why not have a game of chess while it plays in the background? Maybe it’s upped your skills...

Bridgerton
Netflix
We’d be doing this list all wrong if we didn’t mention arguably the hottest series of the moment. During the Regency era, ladies attempt to find love, but nothing is simple. It’s essentially the perfect cross between Downton Abbey and Gossip Girl. It’s got all the regal aspects you’d expect, but with plenty of raunchy scenes (you’ve been warned), and an anonymous writer distributing a  column under the name of Lady Whistledown, sharing all of their secrets.

The Crown
Netflix
Sticking with our regal favourites, why not begin The Crown from the start? Follow the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to modern times, from Claire Foy to Olivia Colman, but one mustn't try to pick a favourite from the two – it’s just too difficult.

Game of Thrones
Amazon Prime
If you’re looking for a longer series to binge, eight years' worth should be enough, right? A more dramatic tale of thrones, as nine noble families war against each other in order to gain control. Okay, the final series may have been a bit of a let down to some, but the rest are certainly worth a rewatch.

Peaky Blinders
BBC iPlayer
Take yourself back in time to 1900s Birmingham and join Tommy Shelby as he leads the Peaky Blinders – it's the perfect way to prepare for a possible season six. We can’t wait.

Gossip Girl
Amazon Prime
Rejoin the modern Lady Whistledown, or Gossip Girl as they’re better known, to fall back in love with Blair Waldorf and her friends on the Upper East Side. There’s plenty of drama to enjoy before its reboot is released – and you know you love it (xoxo).

You
Netflix
Once you’ve had your Penn Badgley fix with Gossip Girl, join him in a much more sinister and dangerously-charming role, in which his obsessions are the root of some very dark (and addictive) storylines.

Pretty Little Liars
BBC iPlayer
For more disturbing drama, rejoin Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily as their darkest secrets are revevaled in disturbing messages from a mysterious someone called ‘A.’ See if you can find all the clues A's identity the second time around... (even knowing the answer, you probably can't, but it's fun to try).

New Girl
Netflix
For an more light-hearted watch, Zooey Deschanel (as Jess) and her roommates will give you plenty of laughs as she makes her way through life as a teacher. Anyone fancy a game of True American?

Modern Family
Netflix
Similarly, Modern Family is a hilarious series you can watch over and over, as each interconnected family deals with their kids, spouses and jobs in their own unique way.

The Big Bang Theory
Netflix
The lives of our favourite socially awkward friends, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj, will have you laughing too – and you don’t necessarily have to watch the episodes in order, because we all know what happens. The final ever episode is particularly strong.

Friends
Netflix
But our favourite friends have to be THE Friends – and we never get tired of watching this series over and over. Just prepare for an emotional ride when you reach the final episode again. Could we BE any more excited?

Breaking Bad
Netflix
An oldie but goodie, follow Walter White, a chemistry teacher, as he gets into the meth-making business to repay his medical debts, with plenty of drama to follow.

American Horror Story
Netflix
This anthology of stories consisting of a house with a deadly secret, a demented asylum, a witch coven, an unusual show, a hotel, a haunted farmhouse, a cult and an apocalypse will demand your attention. If you’re rewatching, why not try to watch each series in chronological order, to see if their links make more sense that way...
