York Restaurant Week is giving you the opportunity to dine at a discount from 6th-12th March

Restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars across the city are offering deals starting from just £5, and we've picked out our favourite places to book.

Ate O’Clock
In the heart of the city, down an arched alleyway draped in fairy lights, Ate O’Clock is a unique restaurant offering everything from steaks and burgers to pan-roasted cod and wild mushroom linguini. During Restaurant Week, diners can enjoy steak, salad, fries and a drink for £20 in the evening, or any sandwich and a drink for £10 during the day.

The Fat Badger
The Fat Badger is a traditional pub in the heart of the city serving real ales and delicious food – plus their gin list is as long as your arm. During Restaurant Week, diners can enjoy two courses for £15. We recommend ordering the porchetta arancini or the Welsh rarebit to start, followed by the salmon and cod fishcake. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, the fruits of the forest crumble with bourbon ice cream sounds delicious.
