The Blue Barbakan
You’ll find authentic Polish cuisine at this Fossgate staple – think stuffed cabbage rolls, potato pancakes, and stew and dumplings. There are a range of options during Restaurant Week here. Every day between 10am and 3pm, enjoy any sandwich and a small beer for just £10. For just £15 per person, diners can indulge in any breakfast and a hot drink until noon. For something more substantial choose any lunch special and small beer or small glass of house wine for just £20 per person between 12pm and 3pm.

The Grand
The AA Rosette-awarded Rise is elegant in the extreme, serving modern British cuisine from its open kitchen. Laidback in the extreme, this is the place to be for well-made pizza, beers and good vibes. You’ll find this compact spot on Jubbergate, with outside seating also available. For Restaurant Week the team are offering diners a house pizza and soft drink for £10 (between 12pm and 5pm), any pizza, drink and side for £20 all day, or pizza, drink, side and pudding for £30.
